Amma runs her organization like the mafia with secret codes, rituals and violent punishments for those who break the code of silence.

We can suspect that Amma is involved in some dubious financial practices. Swami Muktananda had over $5,000,000 in a secret Swiss bank account (in 1980). Like Amma he never wanted anyone to know how much profit he made from events and beat his disciples into silence.
