Sudhamani Idamannel aka Mata Amma Amritanandamayi uses donated funds to harass whistleblowers and striking nurses at her fraudulent Amma AIMS hospital. Amma has hired the expensive services of law firm Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in an attempt to remove our right of free speech, remove our privacy and make us vulnerable to surveillance by Amma's violent goon squads.

Amma's sources of foreign cash


In June 2007, Shantanu Guha Ray wrote on Tehelka weekly that Amritanandamayi Math, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Baba Ramdas, and other NGOs and religious organisations had large annual turnover of INR crores.[27] In June 2007, novelist Paul Zacharia wrote on Tehelka that Amritanandamayi goes scotfree from scrutinies on money with foreign strings.[28]
In May 2008, the president of Kerala Yukthivadi Sangham, U. Kalanathan urged the state government to conduct an inquiry into Amritanandamayi's assets. He said the sources of the her income and its utilization should be investigated.[29]
In June 2008, writer Sukumar Azhikode demanded the state government to probe the source of foreign aid received by her organization. He said Amritanandamayi was being used as an instrument by vested interests around her. He accused that her sources of income are suspicious.[30]
